Mid point reflection

How has the internship been the same as and/or different than your expectations?

The internship have been very different than my expectation, at first when I arrived there, I was thinking that how my mentor will be, is she nice how is the staff will be, I also thinking how is the environment of office and school, but everything was very nice. I was also thinking that , I will go there and they will give me work ,I am working with the children, but the children so nice I really enjoyed with them ,and they so cute I love them.My mentor is so respectful she is so nice and she is intelligent. My coworker are also very nice. The environment is also good.
What is similar and different about the culture of your internship workplace environment compared to IHSL's school environment? Provide examples.
There is safe place, the people respectful, helpful.In school I study and my internship I help the children and home-work,spelling and reading book by helping them I also improving my language a lot and I learn how to talk with kids and how to teaching kids.
What new skills have you learned that you can apply at other jobs? For example, have you learned to become a better typist? If so, how and where could that skill help in the future?
I learned that how to teach the children ,how to treat them and my typing is improving a lot that will help me in the future.
What kind of relationship do you have with your mentor and co-workers?
The relationship with my mentor is very good she is very nice,she is very helpful,she is cooparated and she is very nice with me,with other people too and she is not selfish.My co-workers the are also very good.

How have you grown as a result of interacting with professional adults?

I have grown as a adult of interacting with professional adults, I learned how to talk with adult, I am becoming responsible.

What kinds of communication skills have you gained?

The skills that I gained from my internship is the confidence that how I have to do my work and experience of a future life.

What other kinds of skills/abilities have you gained so far?

I also learned How to teach the little kids, how to treat them. I learned how to interact with the kids. I also improving my English a lot.

What challenges have you have overcome and how did you do it?

The challenge that I had are the I did not know how to teach a little kids, I had no experience so it was hard to teach them at first, I had to learn different type of things in reading for the kids, so it was hard I had to see, like what they can and how read easily.

How has the altered schedule affected you? How have you reorganized your time to make sure you are getting all your classwork done?

It is little hard to do work and continue studies because some time I get tired and do n,t want to do my home work, But I complete my home work on time, it is not affect our schedule.

You have six and a half weeks of internship left. What goals do you hope to accomplish during the remaining weeks? Name at least two.

In the next 6 remaining weeks I have to make kids confident, I have to learn English by teaching them and

I have to pass my regent.

What new things have you learned about New York City as a result of being "out and about"?

The new thing that I learned about New York is that the people are helpful and respectful.

I leave school every day at 11:30

At take's 25 minutes to get my internship

Everyday I arrive at home 4:30

I work 4 days it's monday to thursday, it is 3 and 4 hour long every day

My internship site The Academy of talented scolars.

My job title is like the teacher.
What kind of service does your company provide? For example, if you work at an elementary school, your site provides an education to young people.
My company provide an education to little children, if they need help.
What are three tasks that you do regularly at your internship site?
three tasks that I do regularly at my internship site are fixing folder ,reading and check spelling.

three qualities that i have notice about my mentor is she is respectful,she is responsible and she is nice and helpful.
What are some of the highlights or memorable moments of your first three weeks?
The memorable moment of my three weeks are I am working with first time I am enjoying a lot, and I also learning a lot of new thing and I learn how to talk with kids.
What is something that you really enjoy about the internship?
I really enjoyed when the children came to me and ask can you read book for me and the are asking for help ,when i help them I feel so happy and I like this a lot.
